Busy Kids Creche opened in September 2019. We started the business because we love working with children! We also noticed that there is a gap in the market for a creche like ours. Although there are loads of nurseries in Barrow there is no dedicated creche service in Barrow where parents can benefit from the flexible childcare that we can offer. We carried out market research in late 2018/ early 2019 and 100% of the parents we surveyed said that they would use such a service. Many nurseries can be inflexible when it comes to parents whom only need occasional childcare and this is something that parents want and need. We are more flexible and you aren't expected to use us regularly (although you can if you want) or sign up to lengthy contracts. We recognise that many parents are single parents who could benefit from our service as they often have no family or friends to rely on for childcare.
We are based at Hartington Street Methodist Church in Barrow-in-Furness and conveniently situated close to Barrow Town Centre and all local amenities. We cater for children aged birth to 8 years. We have a large hall where children can play, learn and explore and enjoy free play and take part in planned adult led activities such as arts and crafts, singing and dance, baking and cooking,circle time and story time (usually linked to a theme eg Easter, Christmas, Bonfire night). Each activity is carefully planned and easy to do as we recognise that we only have children for a limited time... children are able to pick and choose an activity. We also like children to make things that they can take home with them at the end of the session! We have a separate area for babies and toddlers to ensure their safety. We have age appropriate toys and games and books for the chidlren to play with and to read.
We also provide breakfast for £1.00 per child and home cooked lunch for £2.50 per child.
Healthy snacks and drinks (Milk, juice or water)are provided as part of the fees.
Snacks may include: Toast with butter or jam, Sandwhich, Piece of fruit, crackers (this list is not exhaustitive)
